SOLAPART - TOURIST ACCOMMODATIONS

Tourist information of COSTA BRAVA.

The Costa Brava lies between Portbou and Blanes. It is one of the most exclusive areas of Catalonia, characterized by a wild and rugged landscape with beautiful hidden coves, an intense blue sea and small fishing villages.
This area of Catalunya captivated artists such as Marc Chagall, Picasso, Klein and Salvador Dalí.
The visitor will find in the Costa Brava a wide range of possibilities and activities to carry out.

The beach is not the only attractive of Costa Brava. There are numerous marks of history in this territory. The Greek and Roman ruins of Empúries, with more than 2500 years old, and ancient Iberian settlements like the one of Ullastret and the one of Puig de Castellet are an example of this.

A large part of the Costa Brava is protected because of its high natural interest. The most important natural areas are: the Natural Parks of "Cap de Creus" and "Aiguamolls de l'Empordà" (Marshes), the Medes Islands in L'Estartit and Ses Negres in Begur.

What to do on COSTA BRAVA?.

In the Costa Brava there are many places that are well worth a visit such as Roses, Empuriabrava, Begur, Cadaques, Calella de Palafrugell and Tossa de Mar among others. All of them on the coast and with their own charm.
However, in the inland we also find nice localities such as Figueres, Besalú and Banyoles.

In Figueres there is the Dalí Theater-Museum, opened in 1974 and built on the old theater of Figueres. It is considered the last great work of Salvador Dalí.
The museum allows us to explore the complete trajectory of this artist.
There you can see paintings, sculptures, engravings, drawings, photographs, etc.

Besalú, meanwhile, is one of the most important samples of the Medieval Catalonia because of its great value as a whole. Its magnificent fortified bridge has become an icon of the place.
Less than 15 km from Besalú, you will find Banyoles and its famous lake. The lake of Banyoles occupies part of the municipality and is the largest natural lake of the Iberian Peninsula.
